Yanagi Shuji (Oda Yuji) is technically a Buddhist priest at the temple where his father is the Head Priest. But Shuji is a worldly priest, looking to have all the fun life can give him. One day Shuji is confronted by some gangsters who want him to pay up on a note he had co-signed for a cabaret hostess who has since disappeared. Needing to make money fast, Shuji decides to become a cram school Instructor, where, for the lucky few anyway, huge amounts of money can be earned. Now installed as a lowly Rookie Instructor along with several other candidates, Shuji begins to learn the ropes in the decidedly oddball world of cram schools. But can he keep enough students in his class to pay off his debt...
